Saturday Night Opening of the Rocky Neck Winter Show and there was standing room only and a very big crush of people in both Galleries upstairs and downstairs. In years past, the Rocky Neck artists have rented a downtown location for this yearly holiday show. This year, the show was in the new Cultural Center of Rocky Neck which was formerly a Christian Science Church.
The space and light is really good thoughout the space. Everyone I talked to was impressed by the location and the feel of the venue. Inspite of the crush of revelers, the art was showing well.
Sculpture by: Robert Viau "Torso" was an impressive piece which seemed to attract a lot of attention.

This was a good little overview of the Winter Show although not as comprehensive as I would have liked due to the crush of people there but I hope you have the sense of attending the show.
It was a dark, sleeting night but there was a wonderful turn out and it was great to see so much support for this Venue and group of artists! Hope you enjoyed it!
Happy Holidays,
Melissa
